SPEECH THERAPY

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Our occupational therapists support individuals of all ages across the lifespan by guiding them in the activities they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities-occupations. Therapy at its Best occupational therapists enable children to fully participate in their educational environment, including social situations. Our occupational therapists are dedicated to the teachings of founder and early president of the American Occupational Therapy Association, William Rush Dunton. Some of his assumptions include that occupation has a positive effect on health and well-being, and that occupation brings meaning to life, culturally and personally.

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Our physical therapists remediate impairments and promote mobility and function. Our physical therapists aim to improve a child’s quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, physical intervention, and family/staff education. Therapy at its Best physical therapists address the illnesses, or injuries that limit an individual’s ability to move and perform functional activities of daily living within the school environment. Our physical therapists guide children through:

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY

Our school psychologists administer psychological, behavioral and educational tests and other assessment procedures in order to help plan and manage programs and services within the school setting. Therapy at its Best’s school psychologists help gain information related to the individual’s cognitive or academic functioning, social-emotional-behavioral functioning, current and suggested placement, as well as the need for other accommodations, modifications or specially designed instruction throughout the school day.
